As the Senior Coordinator, you will be responsible for staffing, retail management, and training. This position contributes to the development and execution of the customer experience and site optimization priorities at 6 Calgary Recreation locations. Primary duties include:
Develop and test site optimization opportunities across golf and sport development
Active member of the management team contributing to business unit strategies and plans.
Coordinate and organize vendors for rental equipment purchase and repair as well as organize equipment with knowledge of rental statistics, sport/pro shop supplies for retail which include inventory levels and pricing.
Provide technical and professional knowledge, support and leadership for golf course staff and volunteers including timely feedback that enables staff to strengthen skills and accomplish tasks.
Develop and implement processes and procedures that enable staff and volunteers to understand and contribute to the achievement of corporate, customer experience and site optimization objectives. Also monitor and report on the results.
Consult with the leadership team and supervisors to develop a base schedule for staff and volunteers.
Develop employee schedules for 6 City of Calgary Golf Course Clubhouses.
Coordinate shift selection process for 55-60 seasonal Local 38 Code 81 employees.
Act in a relief capacity for the Customer Experience Supervisor, assist up to 5 Clubhouse Coordinators with day-to-day support and guidance as needed.
Train, support, and supervise staff including performance management and attendance management.
A 1 year professional certificate and a minimum of 3 years of related experience in the area of golf or recreation operations including retail management and staffing. Supervisory experience is an asset.
Training in ProServe/ SmartServe, Safe Food Handling, Workplace Hazardous Material Information System.(WHMIS), Emergency First Aid, Targeted Selection and Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) will be required within the end of the first year of the position.
Experience working with 311 Customer Service Request (CSR), PeopleSoft Human Capital Management (HCM) and PeopleSoft Time & Labour will be considered assets.
Preference given to applicants with experience using TeleStaff or another staff scheduling software program, CLASS.(customer data base & point of sale) and GEN (tee time booking system).
May require occasional use of vehicle for business.
Demonstrate leadership, team building, customer services and problem solving skills.
Strong communication skills with the ability to build positive relationships/partnerships with team members and internal and external customers.
Must possess technical knowledge related to clubhouse operations and sound judgment.
A security clearance will be conducted.
Successful applicants must provide proof of qualifications.
