Contract Coordinator at City of Calgary - Parks

As a Contract Coordinator you will help Calgary Parks manage their large inventory of third party contracts and agreements (including contracts with developers, commercial entitles, community and resident associations, sport groups and government agencies). Primary duties include:
Work with the Business & Community Landscape Coordinator to ensure Parks interests are kept up with the creation of Landscape Maintenance Agreements.
Collaborate with stakeholders to create and track all Optional Amenity Agreements with the development industry, community associations and resident associations.
Work with internal stakeholders on the approval of commercial submissions.
Liaise with Real Estate and Development Services to negotiate on behalf of Calgary Parks for the creation of leased spaces such as restaurants and other tenants.
Work with Law on commercial agreements to negotiate on behalf of Calgary Parks
Review, negotiate with Law and various internal stakeholders on the creation of any other leases or agreements with third parties such as utility agreements, memorandums of understanding with partner organizations or agreements with the province.
Participate with internal stakeholders on projects to improve any issues surrounding agreements.
A completed 1 year certificate in business administration or legal assistance with at least 5 years of related experience; OR A completed 2 year diploma with at least 3 years of related experience.
Intermediate level of proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel) and SharePoint is required.
Experience as a Legal Assistant or Paralegal would be considered an asset.
Preference will be given to applicants who have experience working with ProLaw and Physical Objects.
You have a high attention to detail and excellent proofreading skills, together with the ability to format large Word documents.
You have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team as well as to work independently when required.
Demonstrated organizational skills with the ability to prioritize constantly changing time-sensitive priorities.
