Guest Services Team Member (Full Time) at WinSport

What the role is all about:

WinSport’s Guest Services Team is vital to the smooth operation and overall experience of our guests. Your primary objective will be to provide exceptional guest service to our guests in a front facing role at the Guest Services desk, Call Centre, and Rental Shop.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities of this role include, but will not be limited to:

  • Provide a high level of guest service and product knowledge to WinSport guests, including programs, attractions, directions, rental equipment, and FAQ’s

  • Administrative duties as required: data entry, filing waivers, etc.

Guest Services Desk & Call Centre specific responsibilities:

  • Educate guests on services and products available at WinSport to enable them to make the most informed decision on a purchase

  • Process program registrations, facility memberships, passes, waivers, rental paperwork, and daily tickets, ensuring accuracy and full completion

  • Effective communication with guests, WinSport Team Members, and other stakeholders in person, over the phone, via email, and via our website chat portal

  • Complete sales transactions with efficiency, including cash handling

Rental Shop specific responsibilities:

  • Facilitate the set-up, delivery, and return of rental equipment, including ski, snowboard, and bike equipment.

  • Support guests in completing rental waivers and paperwork, ensuring accuracy and full completion of the documents

  • Examine rental equipment, ensuring parts are maintained and equipment is set safely, and coordinate with Rental Technicians for any required equipment repairs

  • Demonstrate a safe work practice at all times by adhering to all WinSport safety policy and procedures and ensuring one’s own safety is preserved along with the safety of co-workers, direct reports and WinSport guests

  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • 1+ years of guest service experience is required

  • Prior cash handling and point-of-sale experience is an asset

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Able to handle conflict and make independent, time sensitive decisions

  • Proactive, energetic, and ability to multi-task

  • Computer skills are an asset

  • Previous experience working in a rental shop is an asset

  • Flexible to work a variety of shift times and hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays (full/open availability in December-March is preferred)

  • Full availability between December 22 – January 6 is required

Work Conditions:

  • Standing for long periods of time

  • Occasional outdoor work in harsh winter, rain or hot weather conditions may be required

  • Heavy lifting, including bending and reaching

  • Manual dexterity and computer use
