We are looking for a high energy, very organized, great communicator with strong relationship skills to be part of our team here at KidSport Calgary & Area. 

Sport plays in integral role in the development of youth, providing them skills and life lessons that help them become our leaders of tomorrow. Reality is 1 in 3 kids currently aren’t participating in organized sport because cost is a barrier. Join our team and help us change this reality and bring sporting dreams to life for every child in Calgary and Area that needs our support.

Position Title: Part Time – Office Admin Coordinator 

Term: Ongoing Hourly Position with start date of March 12, 2019 

Location: Mission, Calgary AB 

Reporting To: Executive Director 

Compensation: $17 per hour, based on 10-15 hours per week 

Schedule: In office position with hours spread out across 3 days of the week. Flexibility on days and times is available, however Monday is a preferred day.

About KidSport Calgary and Area 

KidSport Calgary and Area is a local non-profit organization that supports low-income families with their kids, sport registration fees. Since inception in 1995, KidSport Calgary has supported over 47,000 kids and distributed over $12 million locally raised dollars back into our community, sport clubs and organizations. This is made possible through fundraising events, grants, sponsors and individual/corporate donations. Dollars raised here, stay here to support local kids with accessing their sporting dreams.

Job Description: 

The Office Admin Coordinator will play a key role in supporting the mission of the organization. This role will be primarily assisting with KidSport client servicing, application processing, sport club relations and general office admin work. The ideal candidate is someone who has great people skills, is very organized and who understands the positive benefits learned from sport and is passionate about helping get more kids off the sidelines and into the game!

Job Specifics: 

• Assist with the KidSport application process 

• Responds to telephone inquiries and provides service to guests visiting the office 

• Interacts with sport club partners regarding applications and payment processing 

• Supports general office admin duties 

• Works with Partnership Coordinator and Community Outreach Coordinator on database management 

• Special projects around donor relationships, volunteer support, event partnerships and marketing as assigned


  • Ability to set a consistent schedule to be in the office 

  • Proficient in Microsoft office, database entry and quick to learning new systems 

  • Knowledge and interest in sports, event planning/administrative support 

  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills 

  • Ability to multi-task 

  • Patience with clients that speak English as a second language 

  • Ability to work independently, as well as in a Team 

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
