Alberta Luge Association

The Alberta Luge Association (ALA) was incorporated in 1983, Since then, the ALA has operated as a non-profit provincial sports association promoting the development of luge training and competition in the province of Alberta. The ALA is recognized as the official provincial sports organization responsible for the governance of Luge in Alberta by the Canadian Luge Association (CLA). The Alberta Luge Association exists to ensure the continued successful growth of the sport of Luge in Alberta through the development of its athletes, coaches and volunteers at the recreational and elite levels.


The ALA currently hosts two Provincial Cup races and a Provincial Championship, and also serves as a co-host for the Luge World Cup and JR Luge World Cup annually.
