Becca Gould

A born and raised Calgarian, Becca has been involved in the Calgary sport community since she was five years old. She brings almost 20 years of sport experience as an athlete, coach, volunteer, and photographer.

As an athlete, she represented Team Alberta in Track & Field at the 2009 Canadian Legion National Youth Track & Field Championships where she placed fourth in the 3,000m. She received a team bronze medal in 2009 and a team gold medal in 2010 with the University of Calgary Athletics Club at the Canadian Junior National Cross-Country Championships. She placed third in the 800m at the 2011 ASAA Track & Field Championships.

While completing her New Media Production & Design diploma at SAIT, Becca represented the SAIT Trojans in cross country and indoor track from 2013 to 2015. She received a team silver medal at the CCAA Cross Country National Championships in both 2013 and 2014. She was also named a CCAA Academic All-Canadian and National Scholar.

During the 2014-15 varsity season, Becca was also responsible for conceptualizing the visual identity of the SAIT Trojans award-winning Make Some Noise for Mental Health Awareness Campaign. This year, the campaign has expanded to include over 60 CCAA institutes across Canada, including all 17 ACAC members, and partnerships from CMHA National and RBC.

In August 2017, Becca joined on with the Cougar Athletics & Recreation Department at Mount Royal University as a Design & Marketing Assistant, where she was responsible for designing the marketing material and coordinating promotional events on-campus with student athletes for the 2017-18 Canada West Season.

When Becca isn’t working, she spends her time training for middle distance running in track & field, volunteering at local sporting events, and being with friends and family.
