From August 22 until August 25, 2019, participants from across Alberta will come to Rocky Mountain House and Clearwater County, Alberta as we host one of the largest events to ever be hosted west of Red Deer. Offering four days of 14 different team and individual sport competitions, and major outdoor concerts, the first-ever Alberta Masters Games will welcome up to 1,200 athletes and 600 volunteers.

Stranded: Water Valley summons the wilderness warrior in all of us, bringing together 18 competitors from diverse backgrounds to the great outdoors, with nothing but a container of rice, a sleeping bag and their wits. This event requires grit, passion, stamina and a love of community. Our contestants put it all on the line to fundraise for our programs, while undertaking grueling physical challenge in all types of weather (rain, cold, intense heat, bugs). WinSport has designed an 8-week, fully inclusive multi-sport program for all Calgarians with and without physical disabilities to discover adapted wheelchair sport opportunities. this program. Each week, participants will be introduced to a different wheelchair sport delivered by expert coaches from local and provincial sport organizations in each respective sport.
