The Barn Burner Bowlarama is back!

On February 29th we will host the first Bowlarama since 2013. It is presented by our friends at Mcleod Law LLP in support of KidSport Calgary

The Calgary Surge are excited to work with the Alberta Basketball Association to launch the first offering of the Surge Playbook Coaches Clinic led by Calgary Surge Head Coach, Nelson Terroba and Calgary Surge Senior Advisor, Steve Konchalski. This provides coaches of all levels with a unique opportunity to learn from experienced individuals coaching at the professional level.

In recent years, the issue of the participation of trans and non-binary people in sport has gained greater prominence. Unfortunately, this issue too often drifts towards a discourse tinted with transphobia, where prejudices and stereotypes, rather than being combated, are reiterated. Moreover, sport is often used as a tool in transphobic arguments.

Canada’s Sports Hall of Fame, in partnership with Special Olympics Canada and the Special Olympics Canada Winter Games Calgary 2024 Legacy Fund, is proud to announce the premiere launch of a ground-breaking free asynchronous education program, "Respecting the Game: The Story of Jackie Barrett".

KidSport Calgary is excited to launch its tenth annual Give the Gift of Sport campaign. This year, we ask that you reflect on all the wonderful things sport has done for you and consider making a donation to the campaign. There are many ways you can contribute to the success of our program, including (but not limited to):

Students in Grades 6-9 are invited to Clear Water Academy on Friday, November 17th from 2 pm - 4 pm for skills training with local club coaches and coaches from the Calgary Surge. Registration is by donation to Mary's Meals. The training will be followed by a simple dinner available for purchase and our feature event, which is a competitive basketball game between Calgary Police and Calgary Fire.
