Ever Active Schools: Physical Activity from a Distance

We know the importance of physical activity in our daily lives and we will have to be creative through this new normal of being at home. With classes cancelled, students won't be getting 30 minutes of daily physical activity. We know that physical activity is linked to positive mental health outcomes, so now more than ever, when people are in isolation and aren't getting the social connections we all crave, it's important to get moving - for everyone!

Ever Active Schools is offering a selection of resources to families at no cost, which includes free downloadable resources.

Also consider sharing the huge database options at Alberta Active After School! There are three different databases/game libraries, with activities that can be sorted by space size, group size, age, and other filters. Arts and other types of non-physical activities will be added shortly.

Lastly, there is the Ever Active Schools YouTube channel, which has tons of videos showing how to play some popular games.
