EXPRESSION OF INTEREST – Father David Bauer Arena Dressing Room and Potential For Associated Ice Time

Introduction

The City of Calgary is currently seeking proposals from sport organizations interested in acquiring available rental space within Father David Bauer Arena (FDB) as well as the potential for associated ice time.

Available Rental Space

Commencing September 1, 2019, the following rentable space will be available within Father David Bauer Arena located at 2424 University Drive NW, Calgary

Dressing Room 754 sq. ft.

Training Room 218 sq. ft.

Coaches Office 96 sq. ft.

This space will be managed through a standard License of Occupations (LOC) with a fee based on square footage and renewed annually.

Required Information

Interested proponents are asked to provide the following information with a letter of intent:

• Confirmation of Society Status (if applicable)

• Proof of valid Insurance

• Letter(s) of support (not mandatory)

• Organization’s required/requested ice bookings for the 2019-2020 season at FDB

• Details of historical ice bookings that may be relinquished with associated move (if applicable)

• A summary of the organization’s efforts in the advancement of social, community and sport development.

Evaluation Criteria

Application will be assessed by an evaluation committee, taking into account the above information and the organization’s closest and most appropriate alignment to Recreation’s needs. The City of Calgary reserves the right to contact proponents for additional information and review/consider the proponent history with The City (financial and other).

Upon evaluation, if it is clear that one or more replies are clearly superior, The City reserves the right to negotiate an agreement with that respondent. Only those applicants moving on in the process will be contacted.

The deadline for the receipt of application is Monday June 3, 2019 at 4:30pm MST.
